Our Biryani kits cook in minutes but taste like they have taken hours!

At The Spice Tailor, Biryani is one of our much-loved Indian meals. Unfortunately, they take a lot of time and effort to make - and so rarely made an appearance in our homes. So, we couldn’t be more excited or proud to introduce you to this addition to our range. Biryani is a thoroughly Indian dish but with foreign beginnings. The original Biryani was a meat and rice-based dish that made its way to India from Central Asia with successions of Mughal rulers aiding in its popularity. Over time, the dish evolved in itself and in the different regions so that India now has a plethora of delicious Biryanis.

Our Biryanis deliver on those Indian flavours that are both delicate and delicious but (depending on what you add to them) can be on the table in 15 minutes.

I recently found your Biryani and it was amazing! Having spent hours making Biryanis over the years, I found your Biryani amazing and so authentic.

If you’ve cooked a biryani from scratch, you’ll know it’s a long, if rewarding job. The Spice Tailor’s Hyderabad Biryani was at least as good as I have made from scratch, and that I have had from restaurants, but instead of 2 hours of effort, I’m done and feeding people within 15 minutes.

Tonight I cooked The Spice Tailor’s Hyderabad Biryani with mushrooms and chickpeas - and it only took me 15 minutes. I love seeing and using the whole spices. They make the house smell glorious and the kids didn’t miss the meat.

I want to thank you for your Delhi Biryani. My taste buds thought that my birthday and Christmas had arrived in a bowl. My wife and I love cooking with your curry sauces and hope to do so for many years to come. Thank you for the wonderful Biryani and other dishes

Meals from the range

What we love cooking with our biryani kits

We often make our biryanis for a quick midweek meal opting for diced chicken thigh fillets, lamb rump, eggs, vegetables, paneer, chickpeas and prawns for a quick cook. However, when we have time, we opt for slower cook cuts of meat that take longer but add so much flavour and then top them with crispy, golden onions and drizzle with saffron milk for the ultimate biryani. For a little inspiration, have a look at our biryani recipes in our ’Recipe’ section. Whichever way you go, they are undeniably authentic and delicious. We hope you love them as much as we do!
